Joseph Mederic Geroux, son of Magloire "Michael" Giroux and Marie Dezeil dit Labreche, married

1. Mary Louise Lebreche on 23 May 1887 in Escanaba, Delta Co, Michigan. Joseph and Mary had six children: Louisa, Michael M, Mary Ester, Albert, Henry and Thomas.

Joseph Geroux Dies At Perkins Friday

Joseph Geroux, pioneer resident of Perkins, died at his home there at ten o'clock on Friday night. Mr. Geroux, who was 73 years of age, had been in ill health for the past year.

He had been a resident of Perkins for at least 60 years. A member of St. Joseph's Catholic church of Perkins, he was also a member of the Holy Name society.

Surviving are his wife, one son, Albert of Perkins; two granddaughters, Mrs. Charles Parker of Detroit and Mrs. Joseph Pullin of Detroit. A brother, Fred Geroux of Kenosha, Wis., and a sister, Mrs. Clifford LeClaire of Perkins, also survive.

The body was taken to the Allo funeral home to be prepared for burial but funeral arrangements had not be completed last night.
