Funeral services will be Saturday, 17 Sep 2016, at 10:00 am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Fayette Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Vaughn was preceded in death by his wife, Fena Simmons; brothers, Glenn Simmons and Harold Simmons; and sister, Sally Simmons.

Survivors include daughter, Donna McLeod; sons, Kenneth Simmons and Michael (Janet) Simmons; step daughters, Brenda (Ronald) Kolesiak and Kathy Thacker; 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Dwight (Patricia) Simmons; and sister Janice Simmons.

Vaughn was born in Berry and lived in Fayette since 1986. He served in the US Army. He was a farmer and saw miller. He worked as a pipefitter for Johnson Controls in Oklahoma. He retired from maintenance at Fayette Hospital. He enjoyed singing and playing bluegrass and gospel music on the guitar.
