Alice Louisa French, as well as Fanny French, is the daughter of Louisa Beall French and Edmund French. They were married on 21 Dec. 1831.
Alice was born 6 years after the marriage of Louisa and Edmund (seehttp://genealogytrails.com/washdc/marriages/marr1831-1835.html). They (Fanny and Alice) were halfsisters of William Edward Pattison French (1855-1940) who was my great great grandfather. She (Louisa Beall French) died when Edmund French IV was born (date unknown, information: family record).
