Mrs. Staab was born Feb. 18, 1918, in Schoenchen, Kan. Her maiden name was Dinges.
She married C. L. Staab in 1938, and they lived in Hays, Kan., for one year before moving to Portland in 1939.
She and her husband opened Staabs Nursery in 1947 and ran the business until 1970.
Her husband died in 1990.
Survivors include her son, Lance of The Dalles; daughter, Pat Staggs of Portland; sister, Mary D. Binder of Munjor, Kan.; brothers, Henry Dinges of Bend, Alvin Dinges of Hays and Gilbert Dinges and Jim Dinges, both of Schoenchen; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Interment will be in Gethsemani Catholic Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to Providence Hospice or a favorite charity. Arrangements are by Gable & Parkrose Funeral Chapels.
