AUG. 17, 1926—MAY 16, 2015

Estalena W. Edington, 88, of Bloomington, passed away at 5 a.m. May 16, 2015, at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington, Indiana. She was born August 17, 1926, to James Cheek and Hallie (Brown) Cheek. She worked for RCA in Bloomington for over 40 years before retiring.

She was a member of the Moose Lodge #1081 in Bloomington. She loved planting and working in her flower garden, reading and spending time with her friends and family.

Estalena is survived by her two sons, Jim Holmes of Bloomington, IN, Andrew Dodds of Plainfield, IN; two grandchildren, Chris Dodds of Ellettsville, IN, and Allie Derr of Chicago, IL; four great-grandchildren, Carson, Evan, Tyler Dodds, and Darren Fuller.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Arvella Robinson.

A graveside service was held Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. at Valhalla Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Pat Knowles officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 South Old State Rd 37.
