George Meyer Cheston, 57, died suddenly on July 13. Born in Chestnut Hill, PA, he was a resident of Naperville, IL, and son of the late E. Calvert Cheston. He is survived by his mother Nancy M. Cheston; brother Radcliffe Cheston, sisters Martha Cheston and Julia Cheston of Philadelphia and Frances Cheston of Sun Valley, ID. George attended Chestnut Hill Academy and was a graduate of St. Paul's School of Concord, NH. He also attended Kenyon College and the Wharton School. For the past several decades George had owned QED Laser Entertainment, an audio and video retail business. He had a lifelong passion for music, film and the performing arts, and since 1983 had been a member of the Lyric Opera Guild Board. He was a big-hearted generous man, devoted to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Services will be held on August 29, at 3 p.m., St. Thomas' Church, Bethlehem Pike and Camp Hill Road, Ft. Washington, PA. For info: 610-664-0670.
