Herbert G Flinders died at the Dee hospital this morning of complications following an operation. Mr Flinders was operated upon one week ago today for sinus and an abscess in the head. He was unconscious when taken to hospital and never regained consciousness.
Mr Flinders was born in South Hooper, now called West Point, August 22 1904, the son of William S and Comfort Godfrey Flinders. He lived in West Point all his life until four years ago when he moved to Ogden with his parents.
He lived with his parents of 717 Ogden Avenue. He was married one year ago to Ruth Wilson of this city. For the past three years he had been employed by the Boyd Lumber Company.
Surviving are the widow, one child three months old, his parents and the following brothers and sisters. William R Flinders and Lawrence S Flinders of Clinton. Mrs Jannie Higgs of Kaysville. Fred T Flinders, Leslie C Flinders and Mrs Elva Bowman of Ogden. Mrs Hazel Contz, Mrs Pearl Checketts and Franklin J Flinders of northern California.The body was removed to Larkin & Sons' chapel pending funeral arrangements. The arrangements will be announced as soon as word is received from the relatives in California.
