Jiggs was the son of Robert Edward Hilliard and Norma Danton May. He attended Big Bone School and Tiff City School.
He worked various jobs including B.F. Goodrich in Miami for a short time, but most of his life her raised dairy cows on his farm. He married Rebecca Lee on 6-16-1945 in Grove. She preceded him in death. Survivors include 2 children: Wes Hilliard and Donna Mouser, 2 brothers, Clay Hilliard and Leroy Hilliard, 3 sisters: Bessie Simmons, Elsie Jones, Ruth Gray. Three grandchildren: Ginnie Mouser Lucky, dee Hilliard and MIchael Mouser: and three great-grandchildren: Haley Mouser, Rebecca Lucky and Anthony Lucky.
Graveside service at the Council House Cemetery new Turkey Ford with the Rev. Larry Pickard officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK.
