Harry E. “Scott” Qualls passed away May 18, 2015 at Salubria Center Assisted Living in Cambridge, Idaho.

He was born July 2, 1924 to Eva and Oscoe Qualls, joining three half-brothers, Jim, Matthew and Stewart. He grew up in the Keithly Creek area in Midvale, where he helped with the farming. During World War II he worked in a bakery in Portland, Oregon. After the war was over, he returned to Midvale.

He married Zora Linder on July 16, 1946. After their marriage, he worked various jobs with the latest being driving truck for May Trucking until he retired.

After retirement, he and Zora spent time as “Snowbirds”, traveling to Arizona in the winter months, then back to the local area in the summer where they spent their time working as Camp Hosts for the Forest Service and Idaho Power.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Zora, in January 2002; his parents; and five brothers: Jim, Matthew, Stewart, Delbert and O.C.

He is survived by his daughter, Helen (Gaylin) Collins, of Huntington, OR; son, Jerry, of CO; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters: Velma (Russ) Hahn, of Central Point, OR, and Alladean (Floyd) Adair, of Springfield, OR; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held May 28, 2015 at Eastside Cemetery in Midvale at 11:00 AM mountain time. Thomason Funeral Home.
