Born June 30, 1928 in Selma, NC, she was a daughter of the late Alcy Thomas and Louisa Pittman Price, she was the widow of Albert “Jack” Shirley and was preceded in death by a daughter Linda S. Criswell. A faithful member of the Princeton Church of God for many years, she loved singing in the church choir, where she was known for her beautiful alto voice. She enjoyed many types of crafts, especially making Christmas ornaments and crocheting afghans for family and friends. Ruth also enjoyed doing word search puzzles and making “Grandmother’s Fudge”.
