He joined the Waller's Battalion of the Texas Cavalry by 1864 and fought at the Battle of Galveston and Battle of Yellow Bayou in Louisiana on May 18th, 1864.
He met and he married Margaret Jahn. They lived and he practice medicine in the Reids Prairie and Myrtle Grove Communities. His farm home was just west of John Jahn farm, his brother. Margaret died i891 and he married Sophronia.She llived until 1948.
He and Soaphronia retired and sold his farm and land to my grandfather, Demarcus Boyd Haney in 1920. He moved to Waller and lived there until he died in 1924.
Doctor Jahn lived to be 79 years,10 months and 16 days old.
