Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Hopkins Died at Home of Daughter

Mrs. Frances Elizabeth Hopkins, wife of the late Ben Hopkins who died about a year ago, died Saturday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.M. Chandler, after a long illness. She was a native of Georgia, but had lived in Denton county since 1878. She came here from Arkansas. Mrs. Hopkins was 77 years of age at the time of her death and had been a Christian for over forty years. She was a member of the Pearl Street church here.

The deceased was the mother of seven children, all living, one son by a former marriage, O.W. Mulkey and three daughters and three sons by her second marriage. Mrs. J. M. Chandler of Denton, J.M. Hopkins of Manhattan, Mrs. A.C. Henry of Tarrant county, Mrs. A.C. Henry of Tarrant county, G.A. Hopkins of Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Nell Farmer of near Krum.

The funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Chandler by Rev. W.G. Reynolds after which interment was made at the Page Cemetery east of Club Lake.
