Ronald Lee Berry, 70, of Pipestem went home to be with the Lord, Thursday May 21, 2015 following injuries sustained from an automobile accident.
Born August 24, 1944 at Hinton, he was the son of the late Grady and Donna Adkins Berry. He was a member of the Pipestem Southern Baptist Church, a retired engineer from CSX Transportation with 23 years of service, a 1962 graduate of Hinton High School where he was a member of the Bobcat football team. Ron attended Concord College and Dabney S. Lancaster College in Clifton Forge; he received a degree in personnel management for LaSalle Extension University. He was owner and operator of Berry’s Bookkeeping and Tax Service, an avid WVU football fan, and he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and the outdoors. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to everyone and spending time with them all especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, James Ball.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday May 26, 2015, at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel with Pastor Roy Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Farley Cemetery at River Ridge. Friends may call from 6-9 pm Monday, May 25, 2015, at the funeral parlors.
Grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
