She was wed 1st to James Frederick "Fred" Carvell divorced and wed to Charles L. Kirkland on 30 Apr 1898 in Danforth, ME.

It was Charles 2nd marriage his first wife Rachel Peters Warman died 24 Apr 1896 in Danforth, ME. Charles was a preacher and died 14 Apr 1912 on board the Titanic sinking.. His body never found.

Charles Stone stands in the Mattawamkeag Cemetery and reads Charles L. Kirkland Buried at Sea. Also on his stone his first wife Rachel Warman and his 3 children to Rachel Grace, George and Pearl.

Nellie had 4 children to her first marriage Ida May Carvell, Fern Susie Carvell, Cora Belle Carvell and Mabel Carvell

Nellie died in Old Town May 10 1908 of cancer and is buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery. She is buried beside her daughter Fern.
