On 8 April 1940 William H. Patterson (38), wife Opal K. (35) and son, Elmer Chas. (9) lived in Precinct 239, Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. William was airmail manager for U.S. Postal Dept.

WILLIAM H. PATTERSON
Funeral for William Harold (Pat) Patterson, of 11608 NE San Rafael St. was Friday at Bateman's Chapel of the Dawn. Interment followed at Park Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Patterson died in Eugene on Aug. 30, while on a trip with his wife and son. He was 64.
Mr. Patterson was contract air mail carrier for the City of Portland for 13 years until he suffered a stroke in 1952 and retired from this work.
He was born July 10, 1902 in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, and moved to Portland in 1926 where he had lived until his death.
He is survived by the widow, Opal; a son, Elmer C., Portland; a brother, Robert, New Jersey, and a sister, Louise Koeler, of Ephraim, N.J..
