Eugene P. Akstulewicz Sr. "Ooggie" 111 Professional Plaza, Neenah Age 51, passed away at his home Tuesday, July 30, 1996. He was born May 1, 1945 in Neenah, the son of Walter and Harriet (Garrow) Akstulewicz Sr. He had been a resident of the Twin Cities all of his life. He had received his general equivalency diploma. Ooggie is survived by his wife, Debra (Feagles) Akstulewicz; a daughter, Harriet (Daniel) Hole, Neenah; three sons: Eugene Menasha; Cory, Appleton; Lee, Neenah; three brothers: Walter, Marvin (Virginia), all of Neenah; David (Rachel), Leopolis; a sister, Karen (Charles) Miller, Neenah; two grandchildren: Brandon and Nathaniel. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Shirley Feagles, Menasha. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 1, 1996 at 11 a.m. at the Laemmrich Funeral Home in Menasha with Rev. Terry Ahlmeyer officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. and again from 10 a.m. Thursday morning until the hour of service. A memorial has been established. Collier Publishing Co. in Springfield, Ohio. He married Virginia Fogelin on April 29, 1939 and they made their home in Springfield, Ohio. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. In 1957 they moved to Butte des Morts, Wisconsin and he was employed with American National Can Co. in Neenah until his retirement in 1980. In 1987 they moved to Whisper Lake in Sebring, Florida. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Sebring, Florida and was a member of the Gideon Society. He is survived by his wife, Virginia, Sebring, Florida; a son and daughter-in-law: Terry and Peggy Lafferty, Cincinnati, Ohio; a daughter and son-in-law: Micki and Ronald Mueller, Winneconne; five grandchildren: Bret and Philip Lafferty, Cincinnati, Ohio; Julie (Kelly) Angell, De Pere; Matthew and Michael Mueller, Winneconne; a great-granddaughter, Carly Angell, De Pere. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 1, 1996 at 6 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne with Rev. Mark Albrecht officiating. Burial will be in the Winneconne Cemetery.
