Edward Courtney, 68, of 518 4th. Ave., Moline, ILL., resident of Moline for 30 years died at 7:10 this morning this morning in Moline Public Hospital after 10 years illness. He had been in the hospital five months.
Mr. Courtney was born March 18, 1874 in Center Junction Iowa He married Emma Miller in Camanche, Iowa in 1900. The couple came to Moline 30 years ago. Mr. Courtney was a carpenter by trade. He was a member of the First Methodist Church at Camanche.
Surviving are the widow and three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Thompson of Geneseo. Il., Mrs. Bertha Hanson of Cordova and Mrs. Lucia Scudder of Morrison, ILL.
Funeral sevices will be held at 2 Wednesday afternoon in Furgie funeral home. The Rev. Walter A. Tillberg, pastor of Trinity Lutheran, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverdale Cemetery
