Mrs. Mae Dixon, age 85 of Mt. Vernon, KY died Monday, May 18, 2015 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. She was born August 7, 1929 in Frenchburg, KY in Menifee County to Chester Paul and Mary Elizabeth Fields Wells. She was a homemaker and a member of Conway Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dixon is survived by two daughters: June and Denver Cromer of Brodhead and Joan and Randy Linville of Mt. Vernon and one sister: Lola and Sam Jones of Denniston, KY. Also surviving are two grandchildren: Freddie D. Cromer of Lawrenceburg and Henry L. "Hank" and Amanda Cromer of Mt. Vernon; three great grandchildren: Austin Cromer, Bailey Cromer and "baby" on the way; granddaughter-in-law: Sharon Cromer of Brodhead and best friend: Martha Foley of Brodhead. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dixon was preceded in death by her husband: Henry Dixon; two brothers: Cecil Wells and Lee Wells; one sister: Elsie Wells and son-in-law: Floyd Anglin.
