Mildred came to Chilliwack in 1963 from the Harrison, Agassiz area. Previous to that she lived in Mission and New Westminster, B.C. and originally from St. Rose du lac Manitoba coming to B.C. in the mid 1950s. Mildred worked at Sweet Sixteen ladies wear for 26 years, first downtown and then at the Cottonwood Mall. Mildred helped her husband, Alex run Bargain House Antiques on Williams Road, Fairfield Island for 42 years.
