Born in Berwyn, OK to Ada (Hicks) and Frank Blain. Mr. Blain had spent all of his life in the Springer area where he had worked for the school for over 40 years as a custodian and bus driver before retiring in 2001. He married Lorene Bernice Blain on March 9, 1946 in Stratford, OK. They spent their lives together until August 28, 2014 when she preceded him in death. Mr. Blain enjoyed raising coon hounds and beagles, coon and rabbit hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with family. Dale was a man of few words, though those who were close to him knew his love. He was a kind man who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need and never expected anything in return.
