Cecil was born on January 15, 1935 in Matador to O.C. Hawley and Beatrice Caldwell Hawley. He married Wanda Lynn Hegwood on October 16, 1954 in Rochester. He worked for Marshall R. Oil Company prior to retiring and attended church at the Albany Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Susie Hawley of Albany; sons, Rusty Hawley and wife, Teresa of Albany and Charlie Hawley of Moran; sisters, Cleoda Rhoudes of Moran; Madeline Alexander of La Mirada, CA, Barbara Hawley of Big Spring, Renee Ellis of Clovis, NM; brothers, Dennis Hawley of Moran and O.C. Hawley of Lamesa; 3 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.
