William Roy Johnson, 84, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Private services will be held at a later date. Services are under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park.
Roy was born August 14, 1930 in Iowa Park, Texas to Neil and Velzora (Miley) Johnson. He married Essie Marie Caldwell on April 21, 1956 in Iowa Park. She preceded him in death on January 22, 2015. Roy worked as a self-employed farmer and rancher all of his life. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Iowa Park and was also a member of the Elks Lodge.
Surviving relatives include his sons, Phil Johnson and his wife, Vicki and Ken Johnson and his wife, Lisa all of Iowa Park; six grandchildren, Markus Johnson of Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Kelsey Johnson of Fort Collins, Colorado; Mindy Cranford of Iowa Park; Sarah Watson, Courtney Elliott, and Christopher Johnson, all of Wichita Falls, Texas; six great grandchildren and a cousin, Patricia Setzer of Ovila, Texas.
