Luther John DeMoss, 85, died at 9:36 AM, Saturday in Tulsa, surrounded by loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the First Assembly of God Church in Coffeyville, Kansas with Mr. Hal Trieble of Edna, Kansas officiating. Cremation arrangements were by the Stumpff-Nowata Funeral Home.

Luther John DeMoss was born on January 16, 1930 at Jay the son of Louis and Edna Mae (Barnes) DeMoss. He was raised in this area and had lived in Nowata for twenty-five years. He had owned an automobile salvage yard in Coffeyville for eight years and had owned several car lots in this area. He loved to fish and play guitar and loved his family.

Luther is survived by three daughters, Minna DeMoss of Tulsa, Virginia Engles of Kellyville, and Hazel Kellogg of Nowata, three sons, Kenny DeMoss of Virginia, John DeMoss and Mike DeMoss of Parsons, Kansas, two brothers, Robert Chrismon and Junior Lee Chrismon of Colcord, Oklahoma, one sister, Barbara Jean Demoss of Tulsa, eleven grandchildren including Amber Groth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters three grandchildren and one great grandson.
