LA CENTER, Ky.--Services for Shirley Garrett, 63, of La Center will be at 1 p.m.
Monday at Morrow Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Troy Deweese will officiate, with burial in New Hope Cemetery.
She died at 7:50 p.m. Friday at her home.
Mrs. Garrett was retired from the Ballard County School District. She was a member of Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Garrett; five sons, Rick Blankenship, Don Blankenship, Lee Blankenship, John Blankenship and Hank Blankenship, all of Barlow; three stepsons, Jim Garrett of La Center, David Garrett of Brookport, Ill., and Mike Garrett of Wentzville, Mo.; three brothers, Pete Medlin of Barlow, OT Medlin of Conroe, Texas, and Frank Medlin of Wilmington, Ill.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a great- great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a son, Carl Wayne Blankenship; a sister; and a brother. Her parents were John and Mamie Brack Medlin. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today
