Stacy was born on July 31, 1964 in Dubuque, Iowa the daughter of David and Jeanne (Schaefer) Gronen.
She married Jeffrey Junk on March 14, 2006 in Dubuque.
Stacy worked at the Dubuque Dog Track for many years and she raised numerous Greyhounds with her husband Jeff on their farm in St. Donatus. Stacy loved living in the country and had dreams of opening her own greyhound adoption facility. Greyhound breeding was her whole world, though it required a lot of hard work to get as far as she did -she didn’t shy away from any of the work. Stacy has three dogs in Contention for the Iowa's Breeders Cup at the Mystique Casino-she was so very proud of.
Stacy was a very loving wife, mother and daughter. She had a vibrancy that you could see in her daily smile. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Jeff, two children, Chadd Budde, of Scottsdale, AZ, Madison Clingman, of Bellevue. Her mother Jeanne Weeber, of Dubuque, two brothers Scott (Laura) Gronen, of Dubuque and Clay Gronen, of Dubuque, and a sister Lynn (Mark) Donald, of Tarpon Springs, FL, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, a sister-in-law Penny Gronen.
In lieu of flowers a Stacy Junk memorial fund has been established.
