Louis B. 'Broad' Henning, 98, Bates City, died Sept. 30, 2000, at his home. He was born Oct. 25, 1901 in Aullville, MO.

He married Josephine Hendrickson on Jan. 12, 1935.

He was a farmer.

He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Bates City.

Mr. Henning was a Bates City School Board member from 1948 to 1952.

His survivors include his wife of 65 years, Josephine Henning, of the home; two sons, Ronald Henning of Bates City, MO; and Terry Henning and wife, Jo Ann of Fulton, KS; one daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann and Jon Grote of Centerview, MO; one sister, Helen Kincheloe of Odessa, MO; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call tonight at the Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove. Services will be Tuesday at the church. Burial in Greenton Cemetery, Odessa.
