There is a discrepancy in his birth date. I do not believe the date listed on his tombstone is correct. His WWII draft registration clearly states a birth date of 9-23-1896 South Dakota. His SSDI show same dates but birth year of 1895. His brother Philip was born 9-13-1898 In South Dakota which would make the 8-23-1898 birth date listed on the stone for Jake impossible.
