John Wayne Campbell, age 67, died Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Hospice of Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, Texas with Scotte Clark, officiating, assisted by Bill Myers. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney. Family visitation will be on Friday, March 24, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

John was born on May 12, 1949 in Seymour, Texas to the late Julian and Oneta (Cox) Campbell. John was a lifetime resident of Olney and graduated from Olney High School in 1967. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict where he received the Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, Combat Infantryman Badge, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Medal, Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster. John was a member of the Masonic Lodge #790, A.F. & A.M. and a member of the Hamilton Street Church of Christ in Olney. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed working on classic cars. John retired from the United States Post Office after serving many years as Postal Clerk. He married LeeAnn Blair on June 14, 1971 in Tigard, Oregon. She preceded him in death on August 5, 2005. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Julian Campbell and a sister, Sandra Campbell.

John is survived by his two sons, Justin Campbell and wife Rebeca of Graham and Josh Campbell of Olney; his daughter, Kelli Campbell of Corinth, Texas; his brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Janelle Campbell of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two sisters, Debra Campbell of Portland, Oregon and Kathy Kent of Forest Grove, Oregon; and three precious grandchildren, Kameron Campbell, Jase Campbell and Knox Campbell.
