Patrick A. Dowd

Patrick A. Dowd, 35, husband of Nancy Benzing Dowd, of 6 W. 8th St., Oswego, died at the Oswego Hospital Friday after being stricken while working at the Niagara Mohawk Steam Station here.

Born at Catskill, he was the son of Mrs. Rose Dowd Calaman and the late John S. Dowd. He was educated in Oswego and attended State University College at Oswego.

At the time of his death he was general foreman for Stone and Webster at the steam plant.

He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 328; Oswego Lodge of Elks, the Thursday Night Bowling League and the Sunday Mixed Couple Bowling League.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his step-father, Anthony J. Calaman of Oswego; three sons; a daughter; two brothers; a sister; and two step-brothers.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Grace Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Dain Funeral Home.
