METTER -- Bertha J. Fine, 92, died Nov. 21 at home. She was born in Tattnall County and lived in Metter most of her life. She was a member of Metter Primitive Baptist Church for more than 50 years.
She was a member of Metter Garden Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Eastern Star and American Legion Auxiliary. She was the widow of Mike Otis Jones and Sam Fine.

SURVIVORS: a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Brantley Youmans of Merritt Island, Fla.; two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, David and Tamme Youmans of Sylva, N.C., and John and Michele Youmans of Acworth; and five great-grandchildren.

FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Metter Primitive Baptist Church, burial in Lake Cemetery. -Savannah Now, Nov 1999
