"MOUND CITY, MO-Alvin V. Biermann, 75, Mound City, died Thursday, July 15, 1993, at a hospital in St. Joseph.

Born near Craig, Mo., Mr. Biermann was a lifelong resident of Holt County, MO., where he attended Summit Grade School and graduated from Mound City High School.

He was a farmer and operated a dairy farm for several years. He also was a Realtor and had received many agriculture awards.

Mr. Biermann was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in St. Joseph, where he taught Sunday School and Bible Classes.

In 1947, he married the former Esther Renken in Chester, Neb. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors: two sons, Bruce of Mound City, and Greg of Maitland, MO; a daughter, Marlou Wegener of Topeka, Kan.; three brothers, Bruno of Craig, MO, Raymond of Mound City, and Wilbur of Burley, Idaho; and eight grandchildren.

Services: 2 p.m. Monday, Concordia Lutheran Church, Mound City.
Burial: IOOF Cemetery, Craig.
Family visitation: 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Pettijohn & Crawford Funeral Home, Mound City."
