Deceased Name: THEODORE R. DECKER SR.
THEODORE R. DECKER SR., 80, of Franklin, formerly of Hamburg and Ridgefield Park, died Saturday. Before retiring, he was a supervisor for the N.J. Zinc Co., Ogdensburg, where he worked for 22 years, and he owned and operated King Cole Ice Cream Bar, Hamburg. After retirement, he was a superintendent of Marlboro House Apartments, Ridgefield Park, for seven years. He was a member of the Sussex County Peace Officers Association and a life member of the Wallkill Valley First Aid Squad, Franklin. Surviving are his wife, Katherine Block Decker; a son, Theodore Jr. of Vermilion, Ohio; eight grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Two daughters, Ruth Dalrymple and Shiela Riker, are deceased. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, Franklin, with burial in North Hardyston Cemetery, Hardystown Township. Visiting will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Donations to the Wallkill Valley First Aid Squad, Cork Hill Road, Franklin, N.J. 07416, would be appreciated.
