Born June 14, 1932 at Madams Creek and was the daughter of the late Vigil L. and Eva Bennett Miller.
Ruth was a member of the Jumping Branch Tabernacle. She was a former school teacher of the Josiah Lilly School and had attended Concord College. She was known for her expertise of sewing and seamstress work and enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Ruth was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Oscar Basham, a brother, James L. Miller and a sister Margaret Miller.
