John Junior Russenberger was born February 4, 1938 to Robert H. and Myrtle (Gohr) Russenberger in Fraser Township, Martin County, Minnesota. She attended rural school near Alpha, Minnesota. John was employed at the Alpha Golden Sun Feed, Ray Peterson. On December 16, 1956, he was united in marriage to Alice Adams at Sherburn, Minnesota. After their marriage they lived in Fairmont, Minnesota where John was employed for Stokley Van-Camp Company. They then moved to the Trimont area and was employed for Ronald Anderson on his farm. John later worked for Bob Crissinger on his farm and then on John Oltmans farm near Sherburn. In 1970, they moved to Alpha where he worked for Golden Sun Feed, Ray Peterson. In 1974, they moved to Fairmont where John worked for Elmer Wendt. In 1976, they moved to rural Royal, Iowa and John worked for Russell Christensen on his farm for twenty six years until retiring moving into Royal. John was a member of Christ The King in Spencer, Iowa. He greatly enjoyed fishing and working with wood.

John died on Saturday morning, June 17, 2006 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of sixty-eight years.

John was preceded in death by his parents, son, Keith; one sister and one infant brother and other relatives and friends.
