Carl Taube, 68, a resident of Marshfield until about two years ago, died at 7 a.m. today at the Bethel Convalescent Home at Arpin, where he had been living since leaving the city.
He was born in Germany Sept. 2, 1887 and came to Marshfield at the age of two years. On July 10, 1916, he married Anna Hoffman, who preceded him in death July 23, 1936. One son, Jerome, of Markesan, survives.
Services have been set tentatively for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Rembs Funeral Home, where friends may call beginning tomorrow noon. The Rev. Alvin O. Pinke will conduct the final rites and burial will be in Hillside cemetery.

Final rites for Carl Taube, 68, Marshfield, will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Rembs Funeral Home. The Rev. A. O. Pinke, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillside cemetery.
Besides a son, Jerome of Markesan, survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Otto Sinclair, Bethel, Kan., Mrs. William Mittelstadt, Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Ida Schultz, Wakefield, Mich.; one brother, John Taube, Marshfield; and two grandchildren.
His wife, the former Anna Hoffman, two sisters and one brother preceded him in death.
