10 May 1917: David S. Blottenberger, retired, died this morning at 6:30 o'clock from heart trouble following an illness of six months at the residence of his son-in-law, Allen Culp, 336 South Sixth Street. He was 71 years old, and a widower. He was a member of the Cornwall Methodist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Anna L. Shirk and Mrs. Anna Culp, both of this city; and 3 grandchildren, William B. Shirk, a student at Lehigh University, and Mary and Allen R. Culp.
