Larry E. Ward, age 63, of Maryville, went home to Heaven on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Tennova Medical Center at Turkey Creek.
He was a Godly and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a faithful member and deacon at Immanuel Baptist Church. Larry was saved on Easter Sunday 49 years ago. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He was the operation manager at J and S Cartage Trucking.
Preceded in death by his parents, Sam Ward Jr. and Glovia Jo Ward and father in law, James Eli Thomas; nephew, Samuel Williamson.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Vickie Thomas Ward; children and spouses, Ben and Rachel Ward of Maryville, Nikki and Micah Welch of Alcoa; grandchildren, Cade, Cole and Connor Welch, Eli, Brynley and Beau Ward; sisters, Shirley and David Hitson, Angie and Greg Williamson; mother in law, Christine Whaley Thomas; brother in law, Mike and Kathy Thomas; nephews, Jacob Williamson and wife, Melissa and Matthew Williamson and wife, Katie and Tony Hitson; niece, Sarah Jo Williamson, great nieces, Gracie Hitson and Maggie Williamson and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends will meet 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Friendship Baptist Cemetery for the graveside service and interment. Family will receive friends 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church.
