Charles E. “Charlie” Ashcraft, 77, of West Memphis, Arkansas formerly of Lepanto, Arkansas died Monday, May 11, 2015 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Mr. Ashcraft was of the Baptist Faith, the 911 coordinator for Crittenden County, former president of Crittenden County Search and Rescue where he served for 33 years and was a founding member.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Martha Ashcraft of West Memphis, AR; two sons, Christopher Ashcraft (Tina) of Olive Branch, MS; Tony Ashcraft (Lynda) of West Memphis, AR: four sisters, Betty Cockrell of Turrell, AR; Mary Slack of Lepanto, AR; Patsy Thompson of Marshall, AR; and Sandra Dover of Jonesboro, AR: four brothers, Jack Ashcraft of Moline , IL; Billy Ashcraft of Marked Tree, AR; Gene of Lepanto, AR; and Dennis Ashcraft of Harrisburg, AR; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
