Marvin Grouette, 70, son of John Grouette and Nellie (Curtis)
Grouette of Mason City, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, Sept. 22,
2012.
Burial will be Thursday, September 27, at 3 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery.
Celebration of Life will be Friday, Sept. 28, at 10:30 a.m. at Praise Community
Church, 11 2nd St. N.W., Mason City. Pastor Jeff Dahlin will officiate.
During his life he retired from Minnesota Rubber Company. He enjoyed camping and
fishing, baseball (watching it and coaching), bowling, doing crafts, driving his
ice cream truck (The Doodle Bug), his craft store, spending time with family and
friends, and spending time at all church functions.
Marvin is survived by wife, Karen (Madsen) Grouette of 50 years and 8 months;
daughter, Pam (Jeff) Schumaker; son, Rick (Mary) Grouette; son, Tim (deceased)
(Tina) Grouette; sister, Mabel (Lavonna) Ewing; 10 grandchildren and 6
great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, 1 son, 1
grandson and 1 great-grandson.
