Retired Sugar Broker and War
Veteran Will Be Buried Today

Henry Kuhl Kelly, retired sugar broker and Civil War veteran, who died Monday at his summer home near Fern Hill, will be buried today. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery.

Mr. Kelly was 91 years old. He was a descendant of Michael Hillegas, Colonial treasurer and later treasurer of the United States, and also of Frederick Kuhl, delagate to the Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention of 1776.

He was born near Fourth and Chestnut streets and was educated in the public schools here. He was retired with the rank of major after serving through the Civil War, participating in the more important engagements and having been taken prisoner and confined in Libby Prison.

Mr. Kelly retired from business a quarter of a century ago, and has spent his time since between his country home near West Chester and his city establishment on Seventeenth street below Spruce.

He was a member of the Grand Army, the Sons of the Revolution and the Loyal Legion Veterans' Corps of the First Regiment.

Survivors are his widow, Louisa Hard Kelly; a son, Dr. Howard A. Kelly, of the surgical staff of Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore; and four daughters, Mrs. William B. Boulton. New York City; Mrs. Lawrence Lewis, 1719 Rittenhouse Square; Mrs. Robert R. B. Bradford, 146 West Lehigh avenue, and Miss Margaret Kuhl Kelly..
