Carol (Showers) Carlisle, 67, of Monroeville, passed away Monday evening, May 11, 2015, at her home, while being cared for and surrounded by family members. Carol Carlisle was born in Monroeville on April 1, 1948. She was the first child, and only daughter, of the late Ralph and Annabelle Showers. She is survived by her husband, Fred Carlisle Sr., of Monroeville; her son, Fred (Faith) Carlisle Jr., of Monroeville; her son, Chris (Nicole) Carlisle, of Mechanicsburg; brother, Ralph (Debbie) Showers Jr., of Plum; and three beautiful grandchildren, Emma, Lillian and Natalie. Carol was a loving spirit who always thought of her friends and family over herself and enjoyed her grandchildren most of all. Carol was a member of Cross Roads Presbyterian Church and a retiree of Verizon Communications. Friends and family received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the GENE H. CORL INC. FUNERAL CHAPEL AND CREMATION SERVICES OF MONROEVILLE, 4335 Northern Pike (412-372-2100). Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2015, in Cross Roads Presbyterian Church, Monroeville, with the Rev. Rob Marrow officiating. Everyone please meet at the church.
