Mildred was born March 5, 1924 to Helmer and Julia Hendrickson in Owatonna. She graduated from Owatonna High School and went on to get her RN degree from Albert Lea Nursing School. She married Donald Ahlers after WWII. Mildred then worked at the Owatonna Hospital and was one of the original staff at the Owatonna Clinic, where she worked until retiring.
Mildred was a devoted wife, mother, and nurse. She took pride in her work, home, and family. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed, cooking, canning and flowers. She loved to sit in her backyard and enjoy nature.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Donald; parents; brothers, Everet, Jerald, Alan, Orville, and Leo; and one sister Alice.
She is survived by son, William; brother, Eugene Hendrickson; and sister Sylvia Bolda.
