Carlen Jungberg, 75, Towner, died Sunday, May 10, 2015, in a Minot nursing home.

Carlen was born May 7, 1940, in Powers Lake, to Albert and Beryl (Mace) Jungberg. He attended grade school in Coteau and completed his education in Kenmare, graduating with the class of 1958. Carlen attended Moler's Barber School in Fargo. Following the completion of his training in nine months, he returned to Kenmare.

Carlen was united in marriage to Constance "Connie" Hillestad on June 12, 1960, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Kenmare. They resided in Kenmare and Minot for a short time until they moved to Towner when he purchased Liming Barbershop. He operated the business from 1963 to 1970, but still offered haircuts in the utility room of his home for many years.

Carlen joined Gunter Honey in 1970 working as a full-time beekeeper until 1997, when he took a part time position with the company, working until just a few years ago.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Lions Club, Jaycees, Towner Golf Club, all of Towner. He also volunteered 25 years for the Towner Fire Department.

In his spare time, Carlen enjoyed woodworking, sharing the gifts of photo frames, cedar chests, bookshelves and dressers with family. Grandchildren were spoiled with his love and time was always cherished with them. He will be forever loved by all who shared in his life.

His loving family includes: loving wife of nearly 55 years, Connie, Towner; sons, Craig (Colette) Jungberg of Corpus Christi, Texas, and their children, Cole, Clay and Cooper Jungberg, Cip (Dawn) Jungberg of Towner and their children, Tanner, Caitlyn and Erika Jungberg and Carl (Paula) Jungberg of Fargo; sister, Verna Mobley, Minot; brother-in-law, Henry (Beverly) Hillestad of Watford City; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Carlen was preceded in death by: his parents; infant brother, Carl Jungberg; and brother-in-law, William Mobley.
