Mr. Campbell served in the Merchant Marine during World War II and was a painter for 45 years.
Born in Chillicothe on April 10, 1919, he was a graduate of the Chillicothe High School and Merchant Marine Academy, and attended the University of Missouri at Columbia.
On Aug. 16, 1945, he married Margaret Anderson in New York City. She is deceased.
Mr. Campbell was also preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mary.
Surviving; four sons, Tom, Manchester, Jim, Rosebud, Texas, and Joe and John, both of San Francisco; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service: Monday, at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Mo.
Burial: Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Mo.
