Funeral services for Don Kimbrell, 63, of Olla, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 18, 2006, at First Assembly of God in Simpson, Rev. Ed Basco officiated. Burial followed in Comrade Cemetery in Simpson under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville. Mr. Kimbrell was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Maurice Hillman Kimbrell of Olla; two sons, Rodney Murphy and wife, Melany, of Olla and Ricky Murphy and wife Kay of Dodson; one daughter, Karla Murphy Fitzgerald of Dodson; two brothers, Bob Kimbrell and wife Janey of Carmi, Ill., and Tom Kimbrell and wife Norma of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Mary Alice Guthrie of Carmi, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Brent Fitzgerald and wife Ludi, Kolby Fitzgerald, Kenzie Fitzgerald, Derek Boone and fiancee Jessica, Jeremy Murphy, Matthew Murphy, Candi Cain, Mindy Tolar and Danielle Brown; four great-grandchildren, Gracie Fitzgerald, Brody Fitzgerald, Ethan Boone and Landon Cain.
