Paul Dennis Ashberry, age 84, of Quitman, formerly of Liberty and Miller Grove, passed away on Saturday morning at The Heritage Nursing Home in Quitman. Graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, 2015, 11:00 AM, at South Liberty Cemetery. Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home of Emory is in charge of arrangements. Phyllis A. Young, funeral director, officiating.

Paul was born on December 31, 1930 in Bowie County, Texas, to Paul Clifton and Ozale Watson Ashberry. He married Billie Evelyn Story in Burmingham, AL, on July 16, 19 _______ . He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps in Oceanside, CA during the time of the Korean War. He retired after working most of his life as an automotive mechanic. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife: Billie Ashberry of Quitman; son: Dennis Ashberry, and wife, Lisa, of Alba & Greenville; sister: Bobbie Joyce Nolen of CA; grandchildren: William Worth Ashberry, Ashton Leigh Ashberry, Gary Nathan Wakeham, Courtney Marie Wakeham, Tierni Thompson-Sulgrove; great-grandchildren: 8; numerous other loving family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents; 1 son: Paul Kenneth Ashberry; 2 brothers: John Lawrence Ashberry and Floyd Lofton.
