C M Bane was born in North Carolina December 4, 1858, and departed this life August 17, 1949. He was 90 years, eight months and 13 days of age. He was united in marriage October 3, 1878, to Jane Stevenson and to this union 11 children were born, five of whom survives as follows: L M and Joe Bane of Arlburg, Mrs Menda Carter of Ontario, Calif., Frank Bane of Palo Alto, Calif., and Mrs Laura Moody of Sidney, O. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was a kind and affectionate husband and father and a friend to everyone. He professed a hope in Christ and believed he was prepared to meet his Lord. Funeral services were held at Lexington Baptist Church Thursday by Rev. Thomas Simmons. Burial was in Meadow Creek Cemetery, the North Arkansas Burial Association being in charge.
