Mrs. Helga A. Nelson, 87, 3514 Westgate Parkway, died at 1 a.m. Sunday, May 20, 1962, in Lund Nursing Home after a long illness.
Born Jan. 23, 1873, in Vestergotland, Sweden. Lived 72 years in Rockford, coming here from Sweden. Married to Charles P. Nelson in Rockford April 28 1897. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year.
Survivors include: her husband; a son, Lloyd Rockford, and three grandsons.
Services at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Wilbur Christenson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Clifton H. Kittleson, pastor of Alpine Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery.
