Ida Josephine Botz, 94, Minot, died Tuesday, March 21, 2006, in a Minot nursing home.

Ida was born on April 5, 1911, to Louis and Josephine (Brockey) Swiss, in Minot. She was raised and educated in Minot through the tenth grade. She was employed as a clerk for Kresge Dime Store. Ida was united in marriage to Ernest Botz on August 15, 1930, in Minot. They made their home in Minot and raised two children. Ernst died on November 4, 1997. After her husband death she resided at the Edgewood Vista.

Ida was a member of First Lutheran Church and the church circle. She was once a girl scout and boy scout leader. She enjoyed sewing and all types of crafts.

Ida is survived by a daughter, Linda (Hunter) Nohrenberg of Herman, Nebraska, son, Allyn Botz of Minot, four grandchildren, Machell, James, Bill and Michael, eight great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, brother, Vernon (Bonnie) Swiss of Minot.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Lynn and sister, Ellen Levitt.

Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot later in the spring.
