Augusta Martha Mock, 90, Minot, formerly of Ryder and Surrey, died Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at Trinity Hospital in Minot.
Augusta was born October 29, 1915, in Hollaway, MN, the daughter of William and Alice (Schultz) Giese. She moved with her family at a young age to Max, where she was raised and educated. She was united in marriage to Carl Mock on June 27, 1936 in Minot. They made their home on a farmstead north of Ryder throughout the years, where they farmed and raised their family.
In 1972, they moved to Surrey. Carl died July 17, 1980. Augusta continued to live in Surrey, until moving to the Dakota Terrace Apartments in 1991. She had most recently entered the Brentmoor Assisted Living Center.
Family was a very important part of Augusta's life. She also enjoyed working with plants and flowers, along with making quilts, doing embroidery work, and playing bingo with her friends.
